Merlin came to live at Free Flight in 2016 after boarding for many years (he first hatched at Free Flight!). Merlin is a hesitant and nervous bird - it takes him some time to bond with new people and for them to gain his trust. He does his best to be polite, but will speak up with a bite when humans aren’t responding to his demonstrations that something is scaring him. Merlin will do best in an adults-only, so he can be the center of predictable and peaceful attention. He also struggles with plucking the feathers on his chest and body, so a well-rounded diet, lots of warm sunlight, and good baths are a must for Merlin.
