About Wasabi:
Wasabi born right here at Free Flight in 2002 under the care of our beloved founder, Dr. Stonebreaker and our current executive director, Mary Struble. He then went on to live with his devoted adoptive dad for 23 years! Throughout that time, he was a frequent visitor to the sanctuary - often found enjoying the sunshine on the perch nearest the koi pond when his dad dropped him off for Saturday morning daycare (so he could go play a round of golf!). While it’s bittersweet to acknowledge the toll time takes on all of us (bird and human), we feel privileged to officially welcome Wasabi back to Free Flight as a full-time member of the resident flock!
