Free Flight Annual Fundraiser 2023

Our amazing community has played an important role in overcoming the challenges Free Flight faced due to Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (HPAI). With the normal annual occurrence of avian flu, infection results in minimal, if any, health disturbances, whereas Highly Pathogenic strains cause severe morbidity and mortality. To ensure the continued safety of the birds in our care, we were forced to close to visitation for five months. During that time, we lost revenue that we rely on to cover operating costs.

We are determined to

be here for people and parrots always!

While we were able to guarantee the well-being of our birds during the HPAI crisis, other aspects of sanctuary life suffered. This is why we are asking for your help! Funds are needed for enhancement of our facility. Evidence shows that providing a natural habitat is crucial for the mental and physical enrichment of the birds. It also benefits our visiting community.

Free Flight is committed to the ongoing improvements needed for our parrots to thrive. We hope to add trees and shrubs, upgrade the pathways, refresh the grassy areas, and ensure the maintenance of the sanctuary. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation before the end of the year to help us with this goal!

We have the greatest donors and members around! Your donations are Free Flight’s very foundation. Your ongoing support has always enabled Free Flight to successfully deal with adversity. Thank you!

Our mission is to maintain a sanctuary that shelters, nurtures and re-socializes parrots, while educating the public to inspire a lasting concern for the well-being of exotic birds.
