Tycho joined Free Flight’s resident flock in December 2025 after his owner, a longtime supporter and boarding client, passed away. Thanks to years of boarding experience at the sanctuary, this sweet senior grey settled in easily and has been loving life alongside his feathered friends ever since! Tycho’s balance isn’t the greatest, so you’ll often find him crouched on a flat perch in sitting comfortably at the bottom of his enclosure where he can rest on his heels.
In the company of his favorite humans (like staff member Joey!), it’s easy to see how full of life Tycho is! He loves to click and bob his head to music! He’s truly a natural percussionist!

Outdoor perches…. those balance beams are tough on his toes! He’d much rather crouch comfortably on a flatter surface.
