When are you open to the public?

We are open daily between 10 am and 4 pm, except Wednesday we close at 2 pm.  If the weather is bad, it is advisable to call as the birds may not be out. (858 481 3148)

Is there a cost to visit?

Yes. Admission is $5.00 for adults and $2.00 for children under 13 years.

How can I find your facility?

Take Via de la Valle to the west.

Go  South on Jimmy Durante Blvd past the Fairgrounds. After you cross over the concrete bridge, we are the second driveway on the right.

May we hold the birds?

We usually have some  birds that may be handled by visitors; they are social and enjoy the interaction. Others will only want you to talk to them and pass the seed bowl their way.

May we take pictures?

Yes, for your personal use only. Thank you.

May we bring food in to feed the birds?

Please, no.  We are very carefully monitoring what our birds eat. Some are on special diets.  We  have a mix that you may purchase  if you wish to feed them.

May we feed the Koi?

Yes. We have a limited amount of Koi food that you may purchase except during the colder months when they do not eat.
